Bouggy is a hat with a beautiful textured stitch pattern that is easy to make.
It is worked in the round, featuring a double stockinette brim and a body in stockinette stitch with stripes formed by purl rounds. To close the top of the hat, a sequence of simple decreases is made in evenly spaced sections.

Techniques used

• Cable cast on
• Invisible join
• 1 decrease:
  • K2tog;
  • S1k1PSSO.
• 2 decreases: S2k1PSSO.

• S: head circumference approx. 55-56 cm (22’’).
• M: head circumference approx. 57-58 cm (23’’).

Échantillon

23 sts x 30 rows = 10 x 10 cm (4 x 4’’) after blocking.

Needles & Notions

• 4 mm (US6) circular needles.
• Cable length of 40 to 60 cm (16’’ to 24’’) depending on the needle length.
• 4 stitch markers including one different for the beginning of the round.
• Optional: 6 removable stitch markers to help you count the stitches to cast on.
• 1 tapestry needle to weave in ends.
